4G Dialler Gen2

The Ness 4G Dialler provides a 4G pathway for alarm diallers to communicate in the absence of a landline.

This unit provides support for any dialler that reports to any Central Monitoring Station (without a need to any special control room receiver) or can dial an alarm event to a personal number, in the same fashion as it would if a landline was available.

Built in backup battery allows operation in the event of brief mains interruptions.

No programming of the device is required, just plug and go.

Supplied with plug pack power supply, telephone lead, 4G Antenna.

This model is supplied without a SIM card and can be used with your own SIM. (Also see Ness Part No. K-106-480S with Ness Telstra SIM UNLOCKED).

PRODUCT NOTICE
This product has an unexpected compatibility issue which prevents the use of VoLTE on the TELSTRA network. This means that when the 3G network is shut down in August 2024 the dialler will not be able to make calls on the TELSTRA network.

DOES THIS AFFECT YOU?
a) If your 106-480xx 4G diallers are using a VODAFONE or OPTUS SIM then you are not affected and you don't need to make any changes.
b) If your 106-480xx 4G diallers are using a TELSTRA SIM see the options below.

REMEDY
Option 1. Switch to a VODAFONE or OPTUS SIM plan. These carriers support VoLTE as implemented in the 106-480 4G dialler.

Option 2. Update the firmware.
If you choose to remain with TELSTRA simply bring your device to any Ness branch for a free on-the-spot firmware update.

• This product is designed to provide a cellular pathway for alarm control panels with landline diallers in the absence of landlines.
• Not intended for industrial use.
• Not recommended for use in lift cars or other non-stationary situations.
• Ensure that the location has adequate cellular signal and test operation after installation.
• The unit must be tested weekly to verify cellular reception and correct operation.
• The 12V plug pack supplied must be used. Do not connect to an unregulated or 'noisy' power supply.
• If you are upgrading from a 3G model, please replace the old antenna with the 4G antenna supplied.
