Multifunction Access Controller
The Ness UltraProx S2 is a single door stand-alone multi-function access controller Keypad and Card Reader with Wiegand output.
With both relay output for stand-alone operation AND Wiegand output for when connecting to 3rd party Access Controllers or security systems, this vandal-resistant, weatherproof access system provides great flexibility for any application. It is suitable for mounting either indoor or outdoor in harsh environments. It is housed in a strong, sturdy vandal Alloy electroplated case.
Wiegand 26 bit output, which allows this to not only be a reader with the controller but also as a slave proximity reader (with the keypad to allow for manually entering 4 Digit Code) when connected to 3rd party Access controllers. When using as a slave reader, no internal programming is required.
The Electronics are fully potted so the S2 is waterproof and conforms to IP68. With its blue LED back-lit keys it makes it a flexible keypad to be used day or night. When using as a Wiegand output the keypad/reader support an unlimited number of codes or cards.
When used as a stand-alone keypad / Card reader using the inbuilt controller it supports up to 2,500 users in either Card, 4 Digit PIN, or a Card + Pin.
These features make the S2 an ideal choice for door access not only for small shops, domestic households but also for commercial and industrial applications such as factories, warehouses, schools, kindergartens, banks and prisons.
Addressable
When using the Wiegand output, as default (set to address 0) it will output standard 26 Bit Wiegand. However, the unit can be set (via keypad programming) to address 1, 2 or 3 and the Wiegand output will then transmit in Ness Encrypted format to allows up to 3 readers to be connected to Ness D8XD / D16XD systems.
