Detects water and activates a dry contact to connect to any alarm system.
Undetected water damage, such as that caused by leaking pipes or corroded water heaters, costs homeowners tens of thousands of dollars each year. Such repairs are time-consuming and costly to correct.
Applications of the Ness Water Sensor could include computer room sub-floor areas, telephone equipment rooms, bathrooms, kitchens/dishwashers, laundry rooms, any areas adjacent to a water storage tank or piping. Also, evaporative air conditioners, drip pans, overflows and/or drains. Using no mechanical parts, the Ness Water Sensors are triggered by a moisture bridge across the sensor contacts. The Ness Water Sensors can be installed to detect a layer of water as minute as 3mm in depth. An alarm system that has the Ness Water Sensor connected to will sound an alarm when water is detected. However, for added protection add a Ness mains Water Valve which can remove incoming mains water from the premises to prevent flooding when the homeowner is not home. This can then be easily reset by the press of a button when the homeowner returns to his dry home rather than his flooded home.
